Commissioning a portrait of your pet by Maria Knott is a unique and wonderful experience. In consultation with the artist, you choose a special place that you would like your pet painted and a favorite pose, you also choose the size of the canvas, so it will fit exactly where you would like it to be hung in your home. Maria will do a preliminary sketch to show you what the composition of the finished painting will be, and then she will set about to create a unique work of art especially for you.
Working in oil on canvas, is a centuries-old tradition. Maria paints in the traditional style of the old Masters with an eye for light and detail, and renders her subjects expertly on canvas. Her portraits capture the essence and personality of her subjects, artfully creating realistic images that will be cherished for generations.
If you would like a portrait painted of your beloved pet, a personal visit is preferred, however clients who do not live locally may choose to have Maria work from photographs. Maria also paints memorial paintings of your beloved pet.
